Where in the world


The month of January has come and gone and we are still in Stuart, FL. Actually, we spent most of January in Durham with John's mom. She passed away on Jan. 21st, on her own terms - dressed, sitting up in her chair, taking a "nap." All the family (including 5 grandchildren and spouses, plus 9 great-grandchildren) came to Durham for a wonderful, cheerful memorial service on the 27th. While it was not easy to say good-bye to such a powerful force in our lives, we were comforted knowing she had 93 good years and was ready to move on. John and I stayed in Durham a couple more days to settle some details and then flew back to FL. Now we are enjoying some relaxing days and will continue down the east coast to the keys in the latter part of February.
