Coming Home to the East Coast

13 December 2015 | Miraflores Locks, Panama Canal
After 7 years on the West Coast, Fais Do Do is finally coming back to the East Coast! Here she is on the freighter passing through the Miraflores Locks in the Panama Canal!

Pacific Northwest: Here We Come!

06 August 2015 | Shelter Bay, La Conner, WA
Fais Do Do is safely moored in Shelter Bay, La Conner, Washington.

Raven Offshore Yacht Shipping (shipraven.com) delivered my boat safe and sound from La Paz to Chemainus, BC. THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!

Starting the end of this August, we will begin a six week cruise of the San Juan and Gulf Islands. Can't wait to getting some cruising miles under the keel again!

Baby Humming Birds!

11 March 2015
We are presently in La Paz at Marina Palmira. Across from us, on the dock, there is a boat that has a humming bird nest under its bowsprit. These little babies are adorable!

We're Back...

22 February 2015 | Puerto Esconddo
Rick
After too many months away, the crew of Fais Do Do is back aboard and we are once again plying the waters of the Sea of Cortez!

After a not-so-comfortable (read: CRAPPY) passage from San Carlos to Santa Rosalia, we worked our way to Puerto Escondido via Chivato, Bahia Concepcion, and San Juanico. Had a great few days there exploring and hiking in the wonderful company of the crew of Que-Linda!

We were escorted for 10 minutes by a frolicking pod of playful dolphins and a close encounter with a large blue whale.

Great to be back!!!

Land Base (Until January)

03 August 2014 | Atlanta, GA
August 3rd, 2014. After over 12 years of living aboard, we have finally decided to purchase a "land base". We will stay here in Atlanta, GA until January, then return to San Carlos resume cruising the Sea of Cortez. We have new granddaughter to welcome into the world in a couple of weeks. (Right here in Atlanta!)

To Be Continued...

17 April 2014 | San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico
After six months of cruising the spectacular Sea of Cortez, it is time to transition back to land for a while. We are in San Carlos, where Fais Do Do will live without us until Winter when we will resume our cruising.

Since departing Marina del Rey in September, we have put 2030 nautical miles under the keel, visited dozens of anchorages, made many new friends, taken thousands of pictures, and made millions of wonderful memories.
