Waiting on Weather

Not a bad place to hang out

Waiting on weather is a little frustrating, but part of the deal. We're still in Factory Creek across from Beaufort, SC. I'm not sure how this creek got its name...no factories, but nice homes and nearby shopping.

A neighbor

We have very easy access to a Publix, a huge hardware store, a bakery, and a couple of restaurants. We'll be going to the Fillin' Station tonight. It's the same place we had those huge pork chops. Tonight you get a hot dog AND a hamburger with baked beans and another side for $4! Makes you sort of feel like you're going to a soup kitchen for the homeless. It's a neat place that has an outdoor grill where you eat on the deck overlooking the creek. Drinks are ordered and served through a window to the bar inside. Yeah, there are pool tables and no tablecloths...but the food is good, it's a fun place and what a deal.

The Grill Master all set up!

The weather looks like we can leave Saturday. It's been blowing a hooley out there and not calming down yet. The longer range forecast looks like we can make some good time outside for a couple of days. We're entertaining the idea of skipping St. Augustine and keep going to Canaveral or Ft. Pierce. That's a decision we'll make enroute.

In the meantime, Fine Lion and Veranda are hangin' in the creek eating at the local soup kitchen.

See 'ya...

Just got a new neighbor...OK maybe this is a factory creek...time to go!
