Jeckle Island
19 November 2015 | Jeckle Island, Ga
Cloudy/rainy, winds SW at 10-15, light chop on the ICW, Temp. 78F
We departed Wahoo Creek at sunrise after a rousing night of salsa dancing to get ready for Matts and Andrea's wedding in Feb. we decided we needed to take some lessons in Miami to perfect our technique.... It was a dreary rainy day today with moderate winds from the SW. It seems a cold front is stalled but should come thru tomorrow. We traveled 47 miles to Jeckle Harbor Marina on Jeckle Island. It's a very nice Marina. We fueled up and walked to the local market to get a few things. We walked to the beach and the ocean seemed calmed even tho there were weather reports of 6-10 foot seas. It was nice seeing St Simons and Brunswick from the water. We were familiar with the land side from our visits to Gen when she lived down here. Tomorrow we should be in FL, I am not sure yet how far into Fl we will be........ Thought of the day: Don't accidentally turn- off your Freezer/Refrigerator when cruising......
