Norfolk & Coinjock

NW 25K clear
10/21 & 10/22
Started off leaving Deltaville by running aground, it was early and I went on the wrong side of the red markers, oh well!!!!. Has a nice sail down to Norfolk. Arrived about 3 P and went for a nice walk along the museum. got back to the boat about 6P and honkers down for some bad weather coming thru. It started to rain about 7P. There were showers thru the night and the wind picked up to 20-35K. In the morning our anchorage at Hospital point was like victory at sea. The wind was howling right down the channel. We decided to head down the intercostal instead of waiting it out. I was tough pulling the anchor in the heavy wind but Kathi did great. Once with the wind we flew down the intercostal. It was difficult station keeping at several brideges before they open ended but Finisterre did great. We arrived at Coin Jock at 4:30P. We could only get a slip at the marina next door which was Midland Marina, after we arrived we took a quick walk, showered and went over to Coinjock restaurant for our humongous pecked of Prime rib.. Next stop is either Belmont or Manteo.
