We departed Hilton Head. Withi 10 minutes we had a steaming starboard engine. we shut it down and limped to a broken down dock on the ICW. Kathi did a remarkable job connecting the bow line to the rickety dock. We trouble shot the problem. I dove over to check blockage of the outdrive. I then flushed the strainers and back flushed the out drive water system. I took apart the water pump to check the impeller. I then tightened to belt that drives the water pump. The belt tightening did the trick. We got good water flow thru the engine. We cleaned things up and got under wat again. All in all it delayed us about 1.5 hours. We went on the inside ICW and made it to Killkiney Creek at sunset. We anchored in a very remote area. We were the only boat on the river. We had a nice steak dinner on the grill and watch some episodes of game of thrones.
