Windy, Windy....

11 January 2010 | Sampson Cay
Ralph
We are currently at Sampson Cay Marina and very glad to be here. The wind has been blowing hard since Saturday night. A couple of boats remained at anchor out in front, but yesterday they were looking for a slip here at the marina. We have had some real nice social outing here at Sampson. There are a number of boat that we have met before and each evening we have been getting together on Pretty Penny - a beautiful 47' motor cat that has an amazing amount of room. On Saturday night there were 12 of us and we had plenty of room.

The weather is supposed to start settling down today and get nicer through-out the week. Our niece Chelsea is coming down tomorrow, we are hoping the weather is good for her visit. The water has cooled of a lot in the last couple of weeks - thank god for having the wetsuit. Otherwise there is not way I would be going in. Once Chelsea is gone, we will work our way south and start to get ready to head further south. Not sure yet when we will make the jump to Cuba. The longer we wait, the better the weather SHOULD get, but we shall see. We are hoping to find a boat to sort of travel with..

The picture is of Shirley and Mac from Cats Paw as we headed out in our dingys to get find Conch. Karen found 10 before anyone else found any!
