Well the rain did stop yesterday and we were able to go out and explore. We took off in the dingy's at about 10:30 and did not get back to the boat until 4:00. We first went to a beach and walked up and down the beach shelling and just enjoying being on solid ground. We did find 8 hamburger beans and some nice shells, but the shells all had crabs in them so we left them alone.
We ran into a young french family that are cruising on a catamaran. They have two young kids and they also had some family visiting and they also had 2 young kids, so they have a boat full.
After the beach walk we headed out to the reef to snorkel. The coral was OK, but we had our most successfully day of hunting EVER! There were LOTS of Hog Fish, plus groupers, snappers etc. And Lobsters. And Conch. We came home with 2 Hog Fish, 1 Grouper, 1 Snapper, 3 Lobsters and 4 Conch. We had some of the Hog Fish and the grouper for supper last night and it was delicious. Our freezer is stuffed so we need to start eating more and hunting less.
We moved this morning about 15 miles west and are getting ready to head north up to Casilda. We will probably stop once more before heading there and then spend a few days in Casilda. I would like to travel inland and see some more of the country side.
We have received very few emails since we have been in Cuba. Because we do not have internet (Facebook), we have no idea on whats going back home. So if you have our sat phone email address we would love to hear from you.
