A quiet day - sort of!

12 May 2010 | Isla Providencia - 13.22N 81.22W
Ralph
Today was sort of a quiet day here. I organized a cruisers dinner for tomorrow evening at a near by restaurant and all of the boat in the anchorage are going to attend. I think there are a total of 9 boats here - 18 adults and 3 kids.

I also tried to get internet access so I could find out more about my radar, so that I would know what to look for when I opened it up. But it was still down at all of the places it is accessible, so I went to the government office and they let me use their connection, but that also was not very productive. After trying all of the different places and lunch at the Luna Verdi (Green Moon) we ran into Steve and Casi, so we ended up drinking beer for the rest of the day. Not a bad way to spend the afternoon here in paradise. Steve is a long time cruiser and Casi is a local that has a heart of gold. We ALWAY have a fun time hanging out with these guys, so we don't pass up the opportunity.

Tomorrow, I will just take the radar dome apart and see what I can find. My reluctance comes from where the radar dome is and having to balance out on the solar arch and worrying about dropping things in the ocean. But in this is just part of cruising, so no worries.

Steve has invited us to a place called the Honey Hole for drinks on Saturday afternoon. How could you not like a place named like that!!!
