Organize shipping for the new shrouds

27 September 2010 | Shelter Bay Marina, Panama
Ralph
Today has to be all about getting the material ordered for the shrouds and get it on its way to us in Panama. I am really afraid of not getting something right and having to start over again. That would be bad. And expensive.

We went on a walk yesterday - I have not seen any monkeys and I was really hoping we would see some. But no such luck. Did not even hear any. We talked to a guy who went on a long hike the other day and he said they saw lots of them. So I guess we will just have to keep trying.

One thing I really like about this place is all of the different people you meet from all over the world. There are numerous boats here that are working on a circumnavigation. Last night we had dinner with a couple from Sweden. They are talking their boat through the canal and then heading up the west coast to Mexico, before making the jump over to Hawaii and then to Alaska. And I quote him from last night - "Its not that far to Hawaii - around 4000 miles or so". ONLY 4000 miles! Last week there was a couple here from Red Deer, Alberta and last night we also had dinner with a couple from Victoria.

I better start making some calls and get this stuff organized....
