I was successful on my journey to Panama City yesterday. Its pretty amazing that it only takes 1 hour to cross the whole country. The bus system is very cheap. My transportation to Panama City and back cost me a total of $8.00 and that included a taxi ride from where the bus dropped me off back to the bus terminal to catch the bus home. I am not sure how they can afford to operate with these fares because the price of fuel is similar to that back home. I guess the labor rates are substantially less. There was a unique twist to the bus ride in the morning. Once the bus got going, a man with a megaphone started pitching some kind of medicinal herbs. I could not figure out exactly what they were for, but it sounded like a long list of things that they would cure. And he seemed to have lots of customers. After he gave his pitch, he when up and down the isle making some sales.

They are coming over this morning to install the new shrouds. Everything looks in order, but the biggest concern is the t-ball fitting at the top. I had taken pictures of the fitting and sent them to the rigging company, so hopefully they have it right. I have my fingers crossed that we have all the right stuff and it all works.
