Yesterday was river exploration day. There are a couple of rivers around here that you can go up and check out. The Kuna's use them as their source of water which they bring back in their little dupouts, do laundry, bath and have small plots along the way where they farm. The first river was small and shallow and you were not supposed to use your motor. After paddling for awhile, we pulled over and hiked along a trail until we were hot and sweaty. Saw some neat flowers, a couple of huge blue butterfly's and places where the Kuna's were farming small plots growing banana's, yuca and some other plants that we were not sure of. We then headed over to the other river and this one was bigger and you could use your motor to go up - we were not going to paddle again. This river was nicer, water clearer and overall a better trip. We stopped where there were a bunch of ulu's tied up and we walked up the trail to where there was a Kuna cemetery.

Last night we went over to Better Days along with the people from Osprey and Blow Me Away and had a great evening of interesting conversation and a lot of laughs. Today we are going to head over to the Holandes to take them for one more snorkel before heading back to Nargana tomorrow.
