Travel day

02 February 2011 | Hot tub, Holandes Islands, San Blas, Panama
Ralph
Yesterday we traveled from the Robesons back to the Holandes and anchored for the first time in the Hot Tub anchorage. I had not really looked at the distance and was little surprises that we ended up traveling 26.5 miles, so it took us a good part of the day. We were going to wind so it made for a rough ride but we moved along pretty good and averaged just under 6 kts. The angle of the wind was a little too much on the nose so we could not sail straight for our destination and we had to tack once in order to get there. I had bought a fish the day before - a red snapper that must have weighted 5 or 6 pounds and I only paid $4 for it. I cooked it up on the way over for lunch and it was fantastic!

We want to take them to a snorkeling spot that Steve and Connie call the Japanese Gardens. And then this afternoon we will sail over to Nargana in preparation to drop them off at the airport in the morning.
