It was an interesting day. Heading down the ICW we ran into currents that were pushing us backwards at full throttle! Need less to say, it slowed us down considerably. When we got going again, it was clear we would not make it to St Augustine before dark so we picke a place to anchor and maded it there just as darkness settltd in. We ran aground as we rounded the corner, but were able to work ourselves free. Why is it that in a small anchorage in 10 ft of water, power boaters feel compelled to yell at you saying, " I have 150ft of rhode out so you cant anchor there"? Is it an ego thing? Really pisses me off! I anchored and yelled back "I also have 150ft out.......sleep well" We'll be out of here early and head to St. Augustine we've got reservations on a ball for the next week......TTFN
