times almost up really for haul out; they've hit some kind of snag with the dredging and although I think they got past it this afternoon, that'll probably delay things too long for my lift.
Fortunately there are a few people here who can help me out I think. there are a few liveaboards in the bay; one is Sylvain who's a sailor and fiberglass tech kind of guy, done a lot of different things in the marine world; here for at least the school year for his son. Another is Chirs who's on a beautiful though long past it Columbia 50 (I think 50) from San Diego and unless his alternator starts working he'll be here for a while... it's been 3 years since his alternator last worked...
Sails are off now and stowed so somehow this now feels more like work; there's no possibility I'm going anywhere. Which has been good for the boat; lots of jobs that weren't critical but still needed doing are now done.
The 50 or so bananas I was paid for a fishing lure have all ripened at once. My potassium is probably already 6 from all the breadfruit so I'll have to give some of these away. Which is how you meet the Chris, Sylvain, etc types so it works out
