Packing, Packing, and more Packing

I know it's been days since our last post. We would like to thank everyone who commented and sent us emails. We appreciate your support and have been excited to hear from you. Please stay in contact because I'm sure we will need to hear from all of you when we are "out there".
We have been very busy and somewhat overwhelmed with moving out of our downtown San Diego high-rise condo. We can't believe how much "stuff" we had in the two-bedroom condo. We boxed up everything: some for the boat, some for long-term storage, some to be shipped to Florida, some to throw away, and lot's to give away to charity. It took all day for the movers to bring our stuff down the elevator to move off to long-term storage. We are still not done moving everything to the boat but we now realize we have too much. We are now moved onto the boat but will take a few more days to be completely out of the condo.
We have been working for months on the loose ends of moving away (out of the country). The last things we are running into difficulties with are selling our vehicles. I have a 2001 Xterra and Nancy's car is a 1998 Camry. They are both good cars but I guess people are not buying much these days. We hope to sell one of them by our sailing away date (10/27) and Cory my son said he will sell the other one. This loose end is keeping me up at night along with a million other details I need to finish. "They" say that when you leave your list will never be complete, but you still have to go.
We have nine more days before we sail off and we are very excited. We will keep you up to date as we get closer.

About:
Nancy & I have been planning to go sailing for years. We are not ready to retire but decided to take this trip before we get to old. Sailing takes a lot of energy and commitment so we didnt want to wait until we cant physically handle the trip. [...]
