Heading to Punta Mita

17 November 2008 | Passage
Brian
Our passage from Chacala to Punta Mita was a good downwind sail. Again we didn't need to run the engine much because we had 10-13 kts of wind and rounded the point with the wind steady at 20 kts. Four Points sailed well and we tucked behind the point and anchored with 200 feet of chain in 23 feet of water. There were a couple of boats anchored and the offshore winds made the waves look big. We were tired and needed sleep so we set the anchor alarm, took showers and went to bed.

About:
Nancy & I have been planning to go sailing for years. We are not ready to retire but decided to take this trip before we get to old. Sailing takes a lot of energy and commitment so we didnt want to wait until we cant physically handle the trip. [...]
