Las Hadas, Manzanillo

14 December 2008 | Las Hada, Manzanillo Mexico
Nancy
We arrived at Las Hadas anchorage in the mid afternoon after a pleasant 3-hour motor sail since there was very little wind! We anchored outside the Marina, in front of Las Hadas Hotel. It is a fascinating site to view the resorts and private homes from the boat. Some of you may remember this sandy beach area and hotel because it is famous for being the film set for the movie "10". It is a beautiful resort but is in the need for some repairs/maintenance. We went ashore to check out the sites from land as well as to provision for our next passage. We stayed at this anchorage two nights so we could wait for our friends on s/v Freestyle.

About:
Nancy & I have been planning to go sailing for years. We are not ready to retire but decided to take this trip before we get to old. Sailing takes a lot of energy and commitment so we didnt want to wait until we cant physically handle the trip. [...]
