Their friends were hard up

Full of food and fuel we departed Shelter Bay. It had been a good place to stop and refresh. During the canal crossing Four Points had developed a slight leak in the oil cooler hose. With the need for a repair, Brian and I took a bus into Colon, and with the help of the bus driver actually found a diesel parts repair shop and were able to get a new hydraulic line made that was better than new. Custom made line while you waited for $20.00, seemed like a great deal to me.
Cheryl and I got a room with a balcony overlooking the marina and we were all able to enjoy some long showers, enjoy the pool, and a couple of cold beers.
On a walk around the marina, we took a look at the many boats 'on the hard'. One of those we saw blocked up was Arctic Vixen. Arctic Vixen (an impressive 3 masted schooner) is one of the sailing boats that Brian and Nancy have sailed with and mention in earlier blogs.
