Pulau Kapas

Daryl and Carol
Hi we are on Pulau Kapas which is not far from the mainland. We are on a mooring which is something different in these parts. The island is a mixture of small resorts some catering for Malaysians and the others for expats and foreign tourists. The island is a marine park and very unspoiled there is even a rubbish cool edition that takes everything back to the mainland. We had a coffee at the Turtle Beach Resort which looks like the place to eat and stay, run by a Dutch couple for the last six years. We are now having lunch in the KBC restaurant. We will stay for a few days and then move on to Terengganu to get supplies. Or maybe we will "stay another day" the famous saying of the Riff Raff Rally. More on that later.
Pulau Kapas still. The jelly fish have disappeared and the water is so clear. We spent another day on this beautiful island. No motorbikes or cars. We went to the KBC resort again so Carol could have a massage and I perched in a hammock for a couple of hours. The weather was sensational, I think we have found our favorite island todate. We will wait for the tide today and leave about 1100 hrs for Terengganu to reprovision before heading north to Redang and the Perinthiens. We have been spending our evenings up at the bow with a cold drink watching the sun go down. Last night we had some storms of in the distance that looked spectacular. Had some rain and wind about 2.30 this morning.
We are now back in the swing with the blog and should be up to date soon. Sorry for the delay.
