Paperwork

Yesterday came and went but we were unable to leave because of paperwork document delays, it's very frustrating! There is nothing we can do but wait until our new departure date which is next Monday, four days away.
A visit to one of the many monuments in Putuo Shan on a sunny day last November. (As tall Westerners we were a bit of a tourist attraction ourselves!)
This delay will give the crew a chance to do some sightseeing and hopefully a visit Putuoshan, a short boat ride away. Putuo Shan is one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains so there are thousands of Buddhist monks and visitors there every day as there is lots to see.
We have been very unlucky with the weather, yesterday we had torrential rain for most of the day. It's cloudy today with more rain forecast for tomorrow and Sunday - not at all good for sightseeing. Our new departure day, Monday, promises sunshine with temperatures in the mid 20's.
