The City of Peace/La Paz

Of all the medium to big cities in Mexico, La Paz is one of my favorites. It has just about everything you need to live happily and enjoy the culture. There are a lot of gringos living here, but they are a pretty pleasant bunch compared to the rest of ex-pats throughout Mexico. While waiting for the delivery skipper to get here I got to rent a detached dock in front of Marina de La Paz. No water or electricity, but that is not why I wanted to dock the boat. There was going to be a strong norther blow through here while I was gone on the boat delivery to Long Beach. I didn't want to leave my boat at anchor because of the weather and also the slight chance of theft. Captain Glenn arrived in La Paz and we studied the weather for the delivery of a 50' Mikelson power boat to the states. So I did the food shopping at Mega the day before we left and pickled my boat for non-op while gone.
