Left La Paz and did an all day motor-sail and purely sailing to Muertos. Launched my dink and picked up George off my buddy-boat and went ashore for a nice dinner. It's a real treat to have a restaurant out in an isolated anchorage that serves good food. We left early the next morning to do an overnighter to Mazatlan. The trip over was pleasant because there was no wind and we motored the entire trip. We anchored at Pajaro island which is right out front of hotel row in Mazatlan. In the morning we motored into the marina area where George and I got slips at the Fonatur marina for 2 nights. While in Mazatlan we went to do some shopping at Mega (a large supermarket chain like Safeway) and visited a nice upscale mall. While roaming around Mazatlan we were looking for a spot to watch the Super Bowl. We ended up at a nice pizza joint down by Mazatlan marina. What a wonderful experience that was.....the pizza was fantastic and it only had pepperoni mixed in a whole bunch of healthy veggies....get that Karen and Gabriella! The game was great and the local visuals was fantastic! We left Mazatlan the next morning to do an overnighter to Punta Mita. Punta Mita is at the southern tip of Banderas Bay which is the home of Puerto Vallarta and where all the movie stars visit. We stayed just one day because the skipper of the trimaran was getting anxious to get to Barra de Navidad. So we bailed on Pt. Mita and did another overnighter to Barra/Colimilla. It was so nice to arrive in the tropics, but it sure is warm and humid......hmmm, does anyone remember me saying something about the cold in Guaymas? The photo is of Mannasea and Mollyhawk getting fuel in La Paz. I still have a lot to say about Barra/skyping/and a tragic story of a local....will try to post again tomorrow.
