Being Held Hostage

Went to Thanksgiving dinner with George on Mollyhawk, Joe and Carole, Bill and Carol, and a Canadien couple from Totonaka RV Resort. We did not end up at Blackies, but instead went to an ocean front restaurant with a nice view and just so-so food. Had all the trimmings with turkey and the friendship was the bright spot. Installed my straightened rudder and new prop shaft with little problem. I also installed my new Kiwi Prop....I'm really excited about prospect of better sailing performance with the feathering prop. I painted the bottom of the boat black this year and it changes the personality of the boat. The picture above is the rudder being propped up so I can climb up on the boat and bolt it up. When your working by yourself, you have to use anything at your disposal....thanks Gabriella for the use of your infant step stool!!! Also in the pic is my new Kiwi prop. The being held hostage title.....All the multihulls in Marina Seca are hauled out next door in the shrimp boatyard because they have huge travellifts. Well, the travel lift they use for the multihulls is disabled and they are taking their sweet time repairing it. To sit around this yard and living on Mannasea is costing me about $15 a day. I know it doesn't sound like much to you rich Gringos but it really cuts into my cruising budget when I could be floating for $0 a day. Hopefully they will get their act together sooner rather than later. Oh wait a minute....I'm in Mexico....Mananalandia....I have to slow down and go with the flow!
