Boredom continued.....

Earlier today I had most of this blog typed and I hit a key or something on my laptop and it wiped everything out......I don't enjoy typing all this out a second time but I'm sure I will get over it. I had an urge to beautify my adopted community here in the beautiful cruising area of Costalegre. So I asked the laundry lady if she wanted the exterior of her Lavanderia painted. Of course she lit up and said yes. She has 2 kids and no spouse and a couple of years ago she took in her niece from Manzanillo to live with them for awhile. She has three washing machines (old) and three dryers and that is what she derives her livelihood from. So, with the help of her four year old, Christopher, we set out to prep and repaint her business. When it was all done (one week) it made the neighborhood look a little better. Of course my laundry lady was so thrilled to have a nice looking place of business.
To relax after the paint job I sailed down to Santiago for a four day change of anchorages. My (dumb) smart phone had problems with the usb connector, so I dropped it off at a phone repair shop to have a new one installed. I picked it up the next day and it works great now and for just $200 pesos=$13.30USD. I get blazing speeds on the internet connection at the Ramada El Rey from my boat anchored out front so I get caught up on my favorite programs on CBS. Sailed back to the lagoon because we were supposed to get some honking winds for a few days. Now that I'm back, the weather outlook has been moderated down on the wind strength. I think in the next couple of weeks I will be taking the current doctor from La Culebra and her friends for a sail over to Tenacatita. I also have to take the doctor from 4 years back and her sister and friends for a sail to Tenacatita. I'm really getting tired of dorado/mahi-mahi dinners and ice cream and cinnamon rolls and almond croissants......but I will stick with it and try to survive. The pic...little Christopher helping me.....I think he enjoyed working with a man as it is him with his sister and mom.
