The history of this pocket cruiser. This boat was build in England and was sailed here by the original owners . These were two young marines looking for some adventure . I sure it was to sail a 20 foot sea turtle across the Atlantic. The average cruising speed is 4 knots and a top hull speed of 6 knots. As pocket cruisers go (so I have been told ) its well designed . The space on board is designed to utilize every square inch. It sleeps 4 (1956 sized) crew. Has a wet locker and jon and private forward cabin. All sections below have plentiful storage and or shelving . The small area designated for cooking has a alcohol stove and a very small sink. The sails are main , genaker, working jib (front sail) and storm jib. The boat has a 8 horse power seahorse that resided inboard in a well . It has tiller rudder and twin keels. The draft of the boat is only 2.5 feet. This boat just sit on the land(dry out) when the tide goes out . If you need to do a bit of cleaning on the hull or just an inspection just find a shallow shelf that dries out and wait for low tide. Its nominal healing angle is about 15 degrees and is built like a tank and if overpowered will heel over and spill the wind. The boat was designed for use in and around the English channel very challenging waters. It was a wreck when I got her and I cleaned her up and have been working on her when I get time . I will add some pics of my work soon

Later Folks.

Hello friends . I ran across a few great blogs, describing the adventures of people new to sailing . I was impressed with their stories so I decided to start one of my own.

Have a great day !
