well we made it inside the breakwater on the Caribbean side of Panama, we are across the inlet from Colon in Shelter Bay Marina. We were all tied up to the dock by 6 pm, which we found out it was only 5 pm and were informed its happy hour from 5 to 8. We put away the boat and headed up to the Dock Side Restaurant for a couple of beers - Balboa Beer a larger has more taste that the Panama beer. After a few appetizers we enjoyed Garlic Seabass. Life is good and many thanks to the skipper, making this all possible.
Our crossing from Colombia was only 250 miles which we covered in a day and 1/2., under sail we are approx 160 n. miles per 24 hours, however with trailing seas and winds of 15 to 23 we're making better time.
We broke fewer thing on this crossing, However, the pole which colasped on our St Lucia to Co, was repaired in Co, broke again. Plus, the Watt and Sea, a water current prop spins and generates battery charge has a screw disengage.
Looks like we will be in this area until Sunday the 28th, maybe a few trips to the City and countryside are in order.
