(...l'ho detto subito io, troppe femene a bordo casso e no xe niache fighe!!).
[English version] Hi to everybody!!!
About 550 miles to go and we feel like it's just like a sunday trip. Everything is doing great no matter a 'botta di sfiga' [bad luck] in the past 48 hours. After at least a day of light wind (10-12kn), finally two afternoon[s] ago the trade wind came back to us with about 18 kn from East and we started moving again. The first 'sfiga' [again, bad luck] happened with the breakage of the spinnaker #1 holyard Spectical [halyard spectacle] from the mast (...actually I've just stop writing the bog for a while because even the second spinnaker holyard had the same problem....f*ck!!!). Brad walk up the mast [well was winched up] with the usual agility to check the entity [extent] of the damages. The decision was to keep going with the gennaker even if the head point of the sail is gonna be hold about one foot higher then before....boh we hope it will be fine, after days under gennaker without interruption everything can happen but we keep faith on our beloved Ghost.
After about one hour, still under gennaker of course but by now the sun was set, the sail decided to suddenly twist around the headstay creating a hard knot with it....in the attemptive of dropping the sail as fast as possible a line fouled around the prop...this is a classic thing that all sailors experience several times but it always sucks soooo bad....!!!!!!!!!!! After this we spent the night with the white sails and in the morning super Brad again jumped in the water under 25 kn, moving at 2-3 kn and 3-4 m of swelling clearing the line from the prop...great!! In conclusion I wanna mention that in the past week or so we have been used to the famous Atlantic Squalls. There are a lot of them crossing and cheating our course but sometimes they come straight in our Ass and there is nothing to do other than preparing for a shower and sometimes strong wind...this is thrilling expecially at night!!!
Last consideration, the smell and the desire of an icy ti-rhum [?] are growing day after day together with the humidity and temperature that now allow us to live on [in] a swimming suit day and night... a hug to everybody.
