GHOST

So sitting here in my hospital bed typing with straight arms due to the drip in my arm! It's been a relaxing couple of days for me, as you can tell I'll do anything to get off the boat - ha ha.

They are pretty sure it was a more serious case of salmonella poisoning. Annoying to know that I potentially bought it on myself by not cooking a chicken burger properly! Lesson learnt.

Once they were happy it wasn't swine flu they put me in the communal observation ward for the first night. Then they realised it was salmonella and moved me into my own room & bathroom as they decided it was contagious, so it's pretty cushy accommodation. Even had the dvd player going last night so it's almost like a hotel!

Keen to go home today, even managed a "solido" toilet event, but they want to give me more "antibioticos" intravenously this evening so we'll see when the doctors come around. My Italian is improving. I think they just pretend it's a different language but actually it's the same words from French/Spanish/English with "io" on the end!
