Luma Marie is on the cradle for the winter. It is an S2 11.0A sailboat that I
bought in the Spring 2007. I have finished the third sailing season with her
and am getting to know her quite well especially after this summer when I
overhauled the Volvo engine MD17C (insitu) I had to cut a hatch in the cockpit floor in order to get the heads off. I also overhauled the Vdrive. I have made a lot of improvements on the boat including installing a windlass, new companionway doors so I wouldn't have to remove hatch boards. New chartplotter, lifelines, battery monitor, head, sails and so on.
I have sailed it extensively on Lake Michigan and look forward to getting to the ocean with her next Spring. The trips I took on Lake Michigan were pretty much between Chicago and Milwaukee although I had one trip across the Lake from Whitehall, MI. where I bought the boat.

About:
Dave sails Luma Marie single-handed as a general rule, but is always looking for a companion to help though. He has been sailing Luma Marie for the past three years and is looking forward to heading through the Great Lakes and up the St. Lawrence to the Atlantic next Spring. [...]
