We visited the Plymouth distillery centre last Tuesday (25th August) as we were making our way back to Dartmouth from Fowey, Cornwall, as a purely inquisitive venture.

Of course we like to have the odd tipple of gin but I never really knew how it was made or what went into it.

The tour which included a tasting session and a free drink in their exclusive and very well stocked cocktail bar was informative and very timely.

We visited the cocktail bar as we had time before dinner for an "apero". My particular favourite was the "Singapore sling" herself enjoyed it too! There is also a separately run restaurant at the same location which did a very lovely calves liver, exquisite!

Altogether a great adult afternoon/evening out in Plymouth's Barbican area. Highly recommended!

The visitors centre and distillery is located at 60 Southside Street, Plymouth PL1 2LQ and the last tour is at 16:15h during the Summer.
