We're Back!

16 March 2009 | La Paz, heading South
We're back, and it's so wonderful to be afloat again. After nearly seven weeks of being back in LA, working, seeing family & visiting friends, we're back to our cruising program & living simple.

We spent the first week doing boat projects, provisioning and getting svFreedom ready for the ocean & being out again. I enslaved Kelita into project & errand mania until we were ready to leave the marina.

Once out, we spent more than a week playing in the islands outside of La Paz. The beauty of these desert islands with aqua blue-green coves & anchorages is just stunning. We hiked, snorkeled, kayaked, relaxed & played. We made great new friends with other boats, and caught up with old friends on boats that we met coming down the Baja.

Now we're back in La Paz again to resupply and begin our journey southward. We'll spend the next couple of months sailing along the Mexico mainland, aiming for Central America before hurricane season starts up. Puerto Vallarta will be our next major port, and we'll post again when we can.

We love being back to our cruising life, seeing our sailing friends and simply having time/opportunity to enjoy each day.
