We are still at the dock in Opua Marina, NZ. The weather is cool and it feels like Fall. Cruisers around us are already leaving for the islands. Yesterday a group left for New Caledonia. So exciting to see them on their way. While watching their departure, Tom and I filled our fuel tanks with jerry cans paraded to and from the fuel pump located at the top of the dock. We made 5 trips at 100 dollars a trip to top up our tanks. Liquid gold!! Both of us spend are spare time reading equipment manuals and sailing book refreshing our memories about the use of the boat systems and sailing techniques. What a beautiful place to become mentally and physically prepared for the upcoming 8-10 day passage to Fiji.
