Mana - Castaway

Lots on at the moment , so not much blog time.
This photo is our track through a super narrow pass into Mana island, that we foolishly tackled at slack low water.
The weather has been calm and clear, so we have been pushing the boundaries a bit, to get off the beaten track, and found a great private island for the day.
We set off North this morning, but were beguiled by the beauty of the Tom Hanks Castaway island. Not often (apparently), is it calm enough to stay overnight. - hope it is tonight!
James and I tandem surfed abreak on the inside of a small island. The waves were wrapping round both sides. So you could paddle on to a wave, surf. Turn around 180 degrees and surf back.
We are hoping to head further north tomorrow into the Yasawas. The charts in this part of the world are extremely marginal, It is all eyeball stuff (with some help from mr google earth), we will press on until the wind pipes up later in the week, then head back to Vuda point, to get ready for Noumea.
