1st Tropical Storm

31 December 1969
The date is June 6th, 2013 @ noon.... Another wet and windy day thanks to Andrea... We had a little interesting moment a few minutes ago thanks to high tide and the southerly 305 to 40 MPH winds. The Carson G II's bow was "pushed" forward which caused our anchor to nudge the dock. Carson had to go pull her off and then redo the lines. There're three tornado watches within 20 miles of us... The problem is that the tornadoes are "rain wrapped" so folks can'r "see them" as they approach. They need to get to get to saftey now.... Pray everyone stays safe.

We're hunkering down here cooking up a large chilli and home made stew for the trip. it's a lot easier to pull them out of the freezer and reheat if we hit any weather. Other than cooking it's a reading and movie watching day. Tomorrow will be the "BIG" washing day as everything will need to be clean and fresh before we go.

2 more sleeps before we "unplug from the dock"......
