Final Blog
I am sorry inform you all that this will be the last blog of the Carson G II. We're unable to continue cruising due to Hope's continued health issues. So our advice to all of you is to go cruising as soon as you can and for as long as you can!!! We did get out in 2010 so we do have those memories [...]

Today has gone so quickly. It's hard to believe that tomorrow morning we are going to "unplug from the dock", head out down the Manatee River into the Gulf of Mexico and then sail southwest past the westen tip of Cuba and onto Guatemala.... (We'll be sailing offshore to avoid the reefs off Belize.)
Have been Skyping with family and friends saying the hard good-byes.... It's never easy to leave "good folk" behind. Thankgoodness for Skype, e-mail and sat. phones. I know a few cruisers would disagree with me and say part of the reason for cruising is to "un-hook" from "life".... so let them. It'll be harder to stay in contact but not impossible and I'm so glad to be able to do so....
This will be the last sleep before heading out... Nite folks!
