We had forgotten the activity of waterlife until we anchored tonight (December 12) when we heard the tap - tap - tap of shrimp on the hull. They must be cleaning off the bottom and eating microscopic critters that are stuck on. We like these cleaners as they help keep the bottom clean and free of growth. No, they do not do a perfect job, but every bit helps!
While we are in the area, we also have seen lots of shrimp boats offshore. These waters are prolific! Wish we could have sidled up to get some!
