Comfortable

04 June 2012 | N Ft. Myers, FL
We arrived in Marinatown Yacht Harbour on Thursday, May 24, 2012. We left Marathon on Monday, May 21 and traveled about 45 nm to an anchorage near Little Shark River (near the Everglades Park). Tuesday we traveled about 35nm to anchor off Indian Key (near The Ten Thousand Island Park). While anchored, a fighter jet buzzed us and then went vertical and disappeared. It rained most of the night and we didn't get much sleep. Wednesday was a long day, traveled almost 60 nm. We passed Marco Island, Naples and Ft Myers Beach and anchored off a channel in San Carlos Bay. Greg's brother, Dave, came and picked us up and treated us to dinner, Newton had some shore time and we did several loads of laundry. Nice visit and what a treat! Thursday afternoon we went up the river at high tide to our current location. Been doing some boat chores and enjoying the pool!

Boot Key Harbour

18 May 2012 | Marathon, FL
Well, we are here again, but know we do not want to stay the summer here. Arrived on Monday and tied up to mooring D7. It's been raining off an on since. Taking care of some business and hope to leave on Sunday to make our way towards Ft. Myers for the summer.

Happy Mother's Day

13 May 2012 | Little Matecoumbe Bight
We left No Name Harbour on Friday, traveled through Biscayne Channel & Stiltsville to Hawk Channel. Arrived at Rodriguez Key and anchored for the night. We left there Saturday morning and continued on Hawk Channel to Channel 5 bridge to the Gulf side and anchored at Lower Matecoumbe Bight. After arriving, Greg rescued 2 jet skiiers in distress. Another downpour. So we spent Sunday drying out and relaxing.

Storm in No Name Harbour

08 May 2012 | Key Biscayne
Arrived in No Name Harbour anchorage on Tuesday, about 5 miles from Dinner Key. Had a nasty squall and thunderstorm on Wednesday. For 2 hours it blew between 40 - 60mph. One boat was struck by ligtning and blew out his electronics. Another vessel dragged anchor with no one onboard. After the storm Greg and another man secured the drifting vessel. We just were wet, wet, wet! Dried out on Thursday.
