Anchor Madness

Grey Dove being "Au Sec" in Rochefort, we are sailing around Corfu on a "Tippy Boat" (Jeanneau 42') with friends Mike and Jane. Whilst in Gaios we watched in amazement as an Italian skipper, having collected two other anchors on his own, then climbed down and stood on them in order to pass lines and clear them. Probably on of the most foolhardy actions I have ever seen in this situation, especially as the lady in the boat next to us was hauling in her anchor at the time and it was one of the ones he had collected. The slightest slip from the bundle and he could have lost a foot - chop, just like that. Shudder.......
