Grit your teeth and hope that you are in the channel

We really enjoyed our stay in Wells but time was running out so we had to leave, easier said than done. The channel into Wells writhes about like a snake on crack and this time there was no boat to follow. The chart is only as good as the last sand shift so we stuck to the flat water and hoped. Typically the breeze got up as we left, resulting an a bit of banging about until we got a mile or so offshore, then it set fair for the next challenge, crossing the Wash and the Humber Approaches and heading for Whitby.
