Ti Amo sets out for the Bahamas
18 October 2015
Well, after a crazy morning of last minute preparation, Ti Amo is on her way.
We must say our thanks to all that have made this possible. There are so many that reached out and offered advice, a hand, a part, a drink and their time. We are both so thankful for you all.......you know who you are.
It is a cold brisk ride down the Rappahannock and we are extremely thankful for the cockpit enclosure.
As I looked up information this morning about the area we are leaving....."Locklies Creek" and our marina, Regent Point, I learned that there is a little history there. The grounds that make up the Regent Point Marina were actually the staging grounds many years ago for the Norris Bridge. All materials were brought there and then transported as needed to complete what connects us to the Northern Neck. Many a sail under that bridge as well as drives over make me really appreciate that bit of history even more.
Farewell Locklies Creek and Regent Point Marina......we will see you and all of our beloved family and friends in six months.
