Well, we got out this morning and headed through Oriental toward Beaufort and Morehead City North Carolina. We had decided to stay in Morehead City as the weather did not sound too promising and there is of course better "ops" to watch football if at a marina in town. We could not get a marina for tonight but could for tomorrow night. We thought it was because of all the boats returning from the boat shows but no....it was because of the fishing tournament going on. Yes.....the 24th Annual Mercury Southern Kingfish Association National Championship Fishing Tournament a downtown Morehead City.

We finally found anchorage across from the town docks in a small and tight spot that has maybe one other transient and five permanently anchored or moored boats. Okay.....now I know why Florida is out to set tougher laws about anchoring. There was a catamaran and monohull tied up together that were moored close to us that had moss growing on the water line and coolers piled on top of both boats. We thought they were abandoned until while watching the anglers come in with their prizes we saw a guy rowing to the "forgotten boats". He climbed aboard and I assume is sleeping there tonight. YIKES!

Well, we will be here again tomorrow but will head into a marina where I can do some laundry ..... pick up a few groceries.....and yes watch Sunday Night Football.
