He is going to melt!
27 November 2015
Well, seeing this guy on the beach welcoming you is an unusal site, but he stands tall in this 75-80 degree weather. We also saw a jolly old guy in a red suit (hmmmm.....he must be getting prepared).
I guess we should have started this blog with a warning that sailing plans can change in an instant. The weather can change your plans and can hold you captive ..... lol. Tonight will be our last night in Fort Lauderdale (so we think). Today we will get my eyeglasses repaired, pick up some fuel for the dighny and then prepare for an ocean passage from the Fort Lauderdale Inlet to the Miami Government Cut Inlet.
We skyped with my family yesterday and then facetimed with the grandchildren. What a treat it was to catch up with everyone!
To all of our Regent Point family......we hope that if you ever dreamed of doing this trip that you find a way to do it. There will be the occassional challenge with the wind or finding a place to anchor, but the fruits of your journey (the rewards) are far greater.
A shout out to Barry Baird......get well soon ...... this is a trip you will love next year! We are thinking about you.
