Some much to do
22 February 2016
With the George Town Cruisers Regatta taking place at the end of the month, folks are busy getting crew together. There are all sorts of activities to help support the Regatta as well as other "causes" here in George Town. The Cruisers really take an active role in being a positive force while they are here and the support is amazing.
For example, today there is a bake sale, craft fair and clothing exchange to help support the Red Cross and their efforts here. Cruisers were asked to donate baked goods, if you have a craft to share it with others and lastly any clothing you did not want to donate for an exchange.. Most folks you talk to love the opportunity to give back for the beauty, peace and rest they experience from these islands.
Having missed so much already, I think Greg and I are going to take time to go into town today and experience the town with some local food and a stoll down main street.
Yesterday we went to the pig roast, Greg played some volleyball and then we dropped by the boat, picked up a cocktail and headed to sand dollar beach to meet up with Escape Velocity, Bristol Blue Heaven and a few others. Then we were home on Ti Amo with a light dinner and a full moon.
