Cat Island Day Two
03 March 2016
We took a walk to the Hermitage yesterday. It was a good two hour trip up a steep grade hill and back down. Along the way there were stations of the cross to stop and catch your breath. That was definitely necessary for these out of shape cruisers.
We returned to the boat to do a few chores. It was the hottest day we have seen yet so the best chores are the ones you do while in the water. Yes....Greg worked on the water line and I watched for sharks (that is code for I was not going to be scrubbing the water line).
We are renting a car with the Romberg's today and going to drive the entire island. Last night River Rat (Carl and Debbie) from Whitestone pulled into the anchorage so we all were able to have dinner together at the local fish fry.
Hidden Treasures was the name of the restaurant and they had by far the best meal we have had since being in the Bahamas at half the price of most. I had grilled lobster and Greg grilled grouper. It is truly a Hidden Treasure.
Well, off to explore some more.
