Saying Goodbyes
04 April 2016
So last night Ti Amo hosted the "goodbye for now" happy appy hour with Debi & Karl on River Rat and Vickie & Ron on Civil Twilight.
Civil Twilight is a beautiful 47 foot Passport that looks a little like Ti Amo in that it is a black hull with the high beige center cockpit. We got a tour of their boat the other night when they hosted the happy appy hour. Passport does some really nice things with their interior lighting in the cabinets and along the floor. Their galley in two sided the entire length of my one sided galley. That is WONDERFUL! They also have a "workroom" on the adjacent side of the kitchen and then in between those two spots is their engine room. So in comparison, they are a little beamier.....only by 4 inches, so things downstairs are not as "open". They pack a lot into the space. Very nicely done but it is without a genset or air so that accounts for a good bit of space on Ti Amo. Oh well.....again beautiful boat.
And River Rat is a 45 foot Hunter that has been voted the best boat in the Harbour for the happy appy hour as they have the room. Hunter does a nice job of making boats functional and spacious. They are the only owners of this boat and you can tell that after 8 or so years, it looks still like new.
So we all said our farewells, Ti Amo staying put for the game, River Rat heading to Marsh Harbour to pick up family and Civil Twilight heading home. Maybe a rendezvous in another year? The jury is still out on that for some.
A huge thanks again to those that read the blog. There have been times I did not think I could keep this up but with the encouragement for a few, I have pushed on and hope to keep it up at least till we get back into the states. Thanks again for your support.
