Waiting on departure
10 April 2016
Well, we are in Marsh Harbour with quite a few other boats waiting for our time to depart. All fueled up, water in the tanks, food in the pantry and fridge, oil changed in Yanmar and laundry done. We await our good friends on River Rat to "buddy boat" the ocean crossing with.
Now the game becomes one of weather. When we crossed coming over, we left No Name Harbor at 4:30 am and we were in Bimini by 2 or 3 that afternoon. This trip Greg and Carl want to use the Gulf Stream to get as far north as we can before hitting the ICW. They are talking four days and nights out. So with that comes meal planning (pre cooking what you can) and waiting for the right weather conditions.
I have to say as much as I miss home, this is going to be hard to leave. I think we both adjusted well to being here and life on the boat. Homeward bound with thoughts of returning.
