Good nights rest
14 April 2016
The picture is of Greg working on the navigation lights as we are crossing the Atlantic. Thank goodness River Rat called to let us know they saw our steaming light but not our navigation lights. Coming into the states in the dark without nav lights would not have been good especially in these busy ports with huge cruise ships.
We got into the Port Canaveral Yacht Club and settled about 9:00 last night. We quickly fired up the microwave and ate a quick bite before heading to bed. A great night's sleep after very little the prior 32 hours. Something to be said about a Marina and all the comforts when you are tired. We had four folks at this lovely Yacht Club waiting to help us in after dark. Great group of "volunteers".....kind of reminded me of coming in with Ti Amo at Regent Point the first night home with her (though this time we had our engine).
We hear the sound of traffic crossing the steel grated bridges, see the fog rolling in, and feel the humidity. We are in Florida for sure!
We can't check out/in until 10 so we will wait till then. Get our showers and Ti Amo ready for the next leg of our journey up the ICW until we get a weather window to scoot out for a day or so.
