Boat Wash?
13 April 2017
So we had picked up a mooring ball at Pete's Pub and knew which one to pick up as a fellow Caliber owner had just left. Seems some of the three strand braided painters were actually only two strands and we were warned in advance. Nice to have folks watching out for one another.
Before we left Greg went over to talk to the gents from Switzerland as during the night they had broken from their mooring and ended up on the beach near the rocks. There were all hands on deck as they fought to get back on the mooring. Greg and I thought they may have sheared their lines but with the language barrier we never got an answer as to what happened. All I know is with the weather conditions ...... winds howling at 25-28 knots and rain, they did a good job in that tight anchorage. I would have dropped my anchor I think instead of picking up the mooring ball again but they got through the night fine.
So we left and headed for Lynyard Cay again as the winds were still pretty brisk out of the east north east. We had a boat washing and clouds most all day followed by the gorgeous rainbow. You can't beat the beauty of nature.
