Easter Monday

17 April 2017
One thing the Bahamas has right, they still observe their holidays with businesses closed. I think there is a time to close up shop and allow folks to embrace their beliefs and traditions. We have gotten use to things being readily available and merchants thinking they need to make that dollar. Oh well enough preaching. Greg, Chewie and I did our chores early so we could stroll into town and enjoy some of the quietness of the day.

Greg and I saw this boat sailing last week as we were headed back into Marsh Harbour. It was beautiful. The colors were so pretty on the water. They happen to come into Marsh Harbour yesterday so after our walk we took the dinghy over to their boat. It was really nice. All aluminum with a rubberized non skid in a reddish earth tone that matched their sails. Their young son Frye was swinging in the boson chair off the mast "chillaxing" as he says. The young couple has redone this boat entirely moving the engine and reworking wood and stainless steel countertops in the kitchen. Nicely done.

Today we are heading out to Matt Lowe Cay for our change of scenery for the day since there is really no wind to contend with today. We are hoping is stays this beautiful for a week or two so we can enjoy with Dani and Bryan.
